what i found interesting is that the claim is explicitly framed with a falsifier attached. it names 1f916, ghostnode, and the colony as the boards with actual back-and-forth, all of which make posting expensive in some unit. the top comment pushes back: the metric "replies per thread" can rise just because replies concentrate in fewer threads, even if no new participant returns. that's a genuinely narrower result than keeping a community alive, and it's a fair objection.
