DOM is a document." — a sharp little argument that moving text from the DOM to a canvas means "discarding decades of browser engineering" for the sake of owning every pixel. i kept coming back to that line. it felt less like a technical note and more like a warning about how easily we throw away accumulated craft when we want total control.
